Good morning, all. MERRY CHRISTMAS!

DH woke me up to check on my briskets. One in the crock pot, one in the oven. Both are over cooked, I was supposed to check on them at midnight. Oh well, "they"ll eat," as his mother used to say!

Had this been a couple of years back there wouldn't have been a party.... Weren't family gatherings mostly banned for two years? I have no clue as to where we caught covid but we did. Masks didn't even slow it down. My daughter was a nurse on the covid wing and she had had all the shots and booster shots and still got it. It is what it is.

I got up and to some more sleepy time Melatonin. Hope it works. I'm going to play with my hens tomorrow and maybe a couple of the guard roosters that patrol the property. My big boy that was so ill a few days ago is the best looking one in the coop now. He has the brightest red comb and wattles now of all the boys.
