Just to let y'all know. I will be gone from tomorrow afternoon until sometime Sunday. Our church is having a little pizza party for kids in the neighborhood Saturday evening after sundown, don't know how late it will run.

Yes, I did have a great day, but very disappointed in my boys not getting me anything for Xmas or my birthday. I will have talk to them about that.

I have not had a grilled steak in at least 3 years. After tastes buds left me for fresh beef, poultry, and pork I've had no desire for one until tonight. I may get a small one tomorrow and grill it Sunday during some nice weather. I'll try a small piece knowing my wife will eat it if I can't. At the cost of good steak maybe I should just forget about one. I am smoking a Boston Butt Saturday while I'm out playing with the chickens. Got to be careful as my sweet little Honey girl almost got burnt by the grill last time I did anything on it. She flew from 20' or so and lit on the edge of the base to see what I was up to. My reflex knocked her off to keep her from getting burned and it scared her. She finally has forgotten about it and I hope when I drag that big black thing out it doesn't remind her of the incident.
