Star, what are your plans after the house sells? Are you going to be a nomad?
Going to moochdock at our friend’s place for a bit until we either find a place we like or we just say f it and find a trailer park up there lol

This place though. Oh my gosh. This morning I just wanted to turn around and leave the office and let the world burn. I am so sick and tired of nothing getting done.

I come in and the dear daughter who was in to help out didn’t do much. And left me no notes of “here’s how far I got” so that’s frustrating.

Boss lady didn’t run the first.

She also gave me a stack of 21 raise requests to process before I get payroll itself started.

Other admin is off today.

Oh yeah. Im giving them bad news today. Zero flocks given. I’m over this place. Darn that you need stable income and job history for mortgages!

Gmorning all, Ive been up since 6. Roberts still up and he has that new worker coming over today. Nancy is also coming today. She wants to do 2 days this week. Did I mention she bought a brand new car?
Did his old worker quit or now he will have two? That’s great you get Nancy two days a week now.

View attachment 3716554According to my Gramma it is bad luck to eat chicken on New Year’s Day, because they scratch backwards and if you do you’ll be going backwards all year long. You must eat pork, because pigs root forward with their snouts. We can’t handle another year like 2023, so no chicken. Please!

What do you eat for good luck on New Years???....
Great graphic, h2o! We ate black-eyed peas. Not superstitious, just tradition and they are delicious. Just seasoned w salt.

Does that make you a
Dinosaur Brontosaurus GIF

?
Lol.

I had black eye peas, coin and greens, bills. And I didn’t eat any chicken.
What is coin? And what is meant by bills?

Apparently, this is how bills get paid. You eat the coins and bills. It all evens out in the end.:lau

Good morning, everybody. I got up at 4 (thanks Jenny!). Then up again at 6... have napped a little since then.

Now have two of our three vehicles at Plaza Tires. GC's car went in last week due to overheating. Leaking from thermostat. Big ticket fix, sigh. So she drove my "brand-new-to-me" car to her bf's Sunday evening over my reservations. Called me last night, hysterical ... a tire had "blown up," she said. Well, no it didn't, but it was dead flat. Not far from bf's, so had car towed to Plaza and the bf brought her home. Prolly do need a new tire. Hope she didn't drive on it long enough to hurt the rim. Sigh. 🙄 Kids!

Great start to the new year, lol. :lau Things can only get better from here, right?
:thumbsup

I had a tire blow out on the highway recently, I hit a brick or rock or something in the road despite trying to miss it. I pulled over to the shoulder and got busy trying to change the tire. Called hubby to let him know what was going on. Didn't know how to release the donut tire or if there was a tool to release the nuts on the flat tire. So I got as far as jacking up the vehicle.
The insurance company paid for someone to come assist me. I never once freaked out or cried. Been there, done that before. I was glad when the guy showed up before it got dark though.

You’re reminding me I need to get a jack for my car in case of. Joys of driving the “revived junkers” is sometimes things are missing. Oh well. If anything happens I’ll triple a that one. I’ve changed enough tires over the years lol.

Though I do need to get new front tires. One of ‘em is darn near a slick.
