In her defense, GirlChild is 22 and this was her first experience with a flat tire. It was probably already flat when she left bf's house, so there was no "blow out." Thank goodness we do have AAA and bf was close enough to rescue her. Apparently there are gaps in her education, we'll need to rectify that ...I had a tire blow out on the highway recently, I hit a brick or rock or something in the road despite trying to miss it. I pulled over to the shoulder and got busy trying to change the tire. Called hubby to let him know what was going on. Didn't know how to release the donut tire or if there was a tool to release the nuts on the flat tire. So I got as far as jacking up the vehicle.
The insurance company paid for someone to come assist me. I never once freaked out or cried. Been there, done that before. I was glad when the guy showed up before it got dark though.
