Granny's gone and done it again

Bantam Cornish is the closest thing to a KoShamo that I know of. Sturdy birds.

You can tell by looking at Legs that he is a substantial bird. Nothing fragile about him!
I wanted some of the snow white bantam Cornish but they aren't sold by Cackle anymore. They say that they just were not a hardy bird.

well all I have to go play sleuth. Star just had a piece of insulated wire in her mouth that she was playing with SO off to check all cords and lights out.

I wish you all a good night , sweet dreams , warm fuzzies and prayers.

White is a liability around here. My one white hen was struck by a red tailed hawk. Poor thing. Blood all over under one wing, but she survived. They are all more aware now, and stay closer to cover. Fear must have brought out some old instincts.

Granny's going to be bummed she missed you. Bad timing tonight.

We saw a hawk strike outside the window. Found read feathers everywhere but no blood or dead bird. No birds missing... I read a cute story a long time ago about a little Aseel mama hen with little ones being attacked by a hawk. Supposedly just before the hawk could make off with a little one the mama hen flipped over on her back and used her feet on the hawk sending the hawk back to where it had come from in a state of shock. Leg's mama was an Aseel. :)

Smooth coated dogs shed too much. Yes, Papillion are hard to find and expensive. Worth every cent.
I wish Pi could be trusted not to chew on them. He has eaten others in the yard. Hubs found yet another death cap yesterday. I haven't been out to look today.

Researching breeds that make good companions for whippets (other than another whippet) and Papillions were on the short list. They sound like great dogs and zoom around with the bigger dogs no problem. You rarely see them here. I wish they had smooth coat variety, although Pi would love a fluffy friend.

Nothing to eat after midnight for her preop.
I have pain clinic Monday then Fawns spay is Tuesday. Im nervous about it. I didnt get any instructions. I will call them tomorrow. I hope she is good. We have waited a long time for this and I have that dread going on.

I've had no coffee today and less than normal tea. Just maybe I can't shut the door on my mind and go to sleep. I'm out of the med that helps me drift off easy for another day or two. Maybe it will be delivered by Saturday.

Goodnight everyone. I have to pace a bit on the hip bones and then stretch out flat.
