Granny's gone and done it again

I have 25 eggs that were shipped to me that are from silkies and 17 of my own in the incubator now that will get turned on around midnight tonight. If I turn it on before there is a danger of air bubbles messing a hatch rate up more. If I wait later I endanger the hatch rate. I think they call that being between a rock and a hard spot. Of the 17 that are from my girls some are larger than Jumbo. They are a cross between a White Jersey Giant Roo and a Jumbo Cornish Cross hen. I've been told it couldn't be done. I should have been told that it wouldn't be easy because I already have some coming out of the brooder on Sunday when the weather is nice again. They are huge babies. Legs the diameter of an adult white leghorn. I like to do stuff that I'm told I can't do.

hey guys

I have three more days of winter break left.
The best thing about winter break is that there isn’t any calculus. I almost failed the class but luckily the teacher arranged retakes. guessing maybe too many people failed me included lol. Got to catch up on the curriculum a lot over the break but college math really isn’t my thing

Went skiing and ice skating up in Nevada for a few days. Was fun. My grandma is staying with us rn so Ive been enjoying a lot of my childhood foods (plus having her here is just nice ofc). I have this fieldwork thing at stanford tmrw so that’s cool (it’s like this free experience thing, im not really sure what it is tbh but i get to see the campus so it’s a win either way). Science olympiad has this comp. on the 13th so I’ve been prepping for that. Oh and the USABO exam is taking place NEXT MONTH!!! can’t believe time passes this quickly…Im SO nervous for it. I doubt ill do good on it but my goal is to make semifinalists next year. Oh and guess where I was at 12am on New Years day? Rushing Kiki to the emergency vet Apparently she got an ear infection again, but just in the left ear this time. My bad lol. I never got another ear-cleaning solution after the first ran out. the 45 minute visit was $330most of it was cuz of the fact that it was an emergency visit…im sure that it being new years didn’t help either. I got a nice chat with the vet at least. When I get my drivers license I hope to intern at an emergency vet

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and New Years. I need to try and be more active lol. Was definitely way better at keeping up when I was homeschooled Sorta miss how much more free time I had ngl

Don't know what your major is but evidently calculus is in your curriculum for a good reason. One way to look at it and I'm sure you would agree is that if you were in an engineering major you wouldn't want to drive to work everyday over a bridge that an engineer designed who didn't pass calculus. Sometimes it is the prof as much as the subject. lt took me three attempts at accounting. I dropped it twice and then I got a prof who could explain it to my brain and it clicked. Good luck with the class. I just bet if you back up and regroup it will not be so bad.
