What is causing the blisters? I must have missed a post. I couldn't find where this started?

Hand, mouth, foot disease. Pretty yucky for the children. And of course if adults they get it. Especially older adults.

It's very contagious. Could have picked up from a grocery cart...but he is in pre school. A lot of kids sick right now with something. Just got a text from our daughter that has a son she's worrying about right now too. Remember my grandson that was in the hospital, respiratory problems? Well, he's weezing tonight.

I've never heard of such in people before. I've heard of hoof and mouth in deer I think. Are the two related in any way? That sort of looks l like what we knew as Impetigo when I was young. You couldn't go to school with Impetigo.

Normally, the easiest way to tell the difference between impetigo and hand, foot, and mouth disease is to note where the rash and sores appear. Hand, foot, and mouth disease, by definition, appears frequently on the palm, soles, and inside the mouth, while impetigo does not show up in the mouth.

Ashton had it in the mouth. The nurse that Bronwyn called at first about it wasn't sure..which of the many things going around that it could be. Then she called back asking if he had sores in his mouth too. Yes. She knew then.
