Granny's gone and done it again

I am very tired. I did twice the normal work but I was behind the 8 ball with the hatching chicks. The few days before I was running out of time to get the onions in the ground. The plants are shipped when they are ready and they were ready. To make it worse I bought a lot of sets to of a different type of onion for storage.
Sounds like you were a victim of Nursery Catalog Math! 😄

We have some nice weather coming. I want to get into my mint garden and weed it good. The various mints are coming up already. I always dry some. It's the only area I have that's fenced off from the chickens. There's some catnip in there too, and that stuff is crazy invasive! I pull up as much as possible every year but you can't get rid of it. You can always tell when the cats have been in it....

I don't need Catnip. I don't need brooder predators. I do want a mint garden soon. I like fresh mint tea.
Would you like me to send you some of my dried mint from last year? How about some roots for planting? I have Sweet Mint, Spearmint and Peppermint but I don't guarantee I can tell them apart when I send them to you! :lau

No thanks. My wife has the controls of the herb gardens. I let her pick and choose as she goes. It will be awhile before we are ready for that end of things. I have a large enough garden area to fence the chickens out of now already without rushing to build more no hen trespassing fencing. :)

I took care of urgent chores this morning and then crashed. After over doing it yesterday I'm only attempting small chores this afternoon like hanging feeders and putting some blocks under water fountains to keep them cleaner. This is in a new coop. I also must replace a leaking faucet that cost us 30+ dollars last month for water. Outside of keeping an eye on an aging pet rooster that is lethargic with a purple comb I'm not doing anything today. I am weak and lethargic myself. 62° and sunny here now.
:hugs

Mint is good for the tummy
I've heard that before. Mine is not as bad as it once was but still will take all the help I can give it. After my hiatal hernia was fixed and gallbladder was removed I've fared much better. I still take a morning pepcid that is enough to get me through the day with no GERD or any other gut problem like I once endured.
