Granny's gone and done it again

Feels like 34° outside. I lit the fire, I like to be nice and warm at night. Came in early from the studio to read more of the book I am reading.
We have so much good firewood here and no fireplace or wood stove. If I ever get to build another shop out back it will have a wood stove. Of course then I'd be tempted to sit and enjoy the fire instead of working.

Have a great Monday everyone. l am sure going to try. I'm going to town after shavings for some coops and gas for the van. l also am going to get some rooster scratch and some stuff to worm all of the chickens. They have gotten wormy enough that they can be seen with the naked eye and I don't like that at all.

My Cornish girls are around live weight of 15lbs. They will be held as pets until their time is up. I'm crazy about all five of them. I have a Dark Cornish Rooster I'm going to breed them too test tube technique soon I hope. With longer days and more light they should start laying good again. The info published is that they were to lay small eggs but in reality they lay 2 sizes above jumbo. If I can get them bred can you imagine how big their chicks will be?
Years ago I had a CX hen that went broody and hatched nine chicks from eight eggs. She was a good mother and raised all of the chicks to adulthood.

Morning all, I slept like crap. Robert hasnt even been to sleep. He said he laid there for hours trying. Now He needs to stay awake til around 4-5. Vets at 3 then he made corned beef & cabbage in the crock pot last night so by the time he eats he will be worn out.

Good morning, Grannyland. Feel like I could sleep all day but guess I should get up and moving. The kids have gone to town to do some shopping of their own plus the grocery shopping DH would have done yesterday if we hadn't gone to St Louis. Not sure what I want to accompkish today besides laundry. Better get started on that.

I'd like to do that but right now I don't have enough trays. Most all of my scripts now come with a 90 day supply making it possible.
Trays only cost a dollar or so at Walgreens. Cap has a good idea, filling a month's worth at a time. I'll consider doing that. I use a clear one for my morning pills, a blue one for night time.

Nine chicks from eight eggs? Then ... it is possible to hatch a double-yolk egg!? I had not thought it was.
