Granny's gone and done it again

Been rough day again here. I have had easier days working cows than I have working chickens today.
Man that's saying a lot! We are in for rain and storms the next couple of days. Was nice to have a couple of nice days while it lasted.
Tonight I roasted one of the Cornish. Spatchcocked it so it would cook faster but it still took about an hour and a half. There is a lot of meat on those things! It was so tender and delicious, SO much better than commercial meat.

Like this.

Now we are done herding chickens except for the one coop of 6 hens. I expect a call from PETA after catching the 3 Ancona pullets that have never been handled before. They didn't squawk, they screamed so loud my ear drums hurt. I still got all three of them in with an Easter Egger Rooster in his coop. All the vagabond misfit roosters are in a coop. They have to go without feed tomorrow so they can get a worming treatment Friday and they can make up for it on Friday. They will be allow in runs but not running loose to pickup worms like we have seen in their poop. Don't need a fecal float test when you can see them with the naked eye.
