Granny's gone and done it again

I have a white leghorn rooster that is going to have all the other roosters laughing at him tomorrow. He was the last of the bunch that I had not caught and put in a coop. He had never had to live in a coop before and didn't intend on starting. Tonight I eased up behind him where he was roosting and I though I could get him by his rump. All I got was everyone of his tail feathers. You can see his little featherless tail when he walks. He could have avoided being the laughing stock of the pen he's going in when I do catch him.... and I will.

My 24 hens and their rooster have apparently eaten every bug on the 3 acres surrounding the house. At least that's the only reason I can figure for Rojo and his special harem of 8 to have been beyond the normal boundaries tonight at snack time. I had to call and call to get them to come up from the adjacent pasture for their evening treats. And they weren't all that keen on them, either, as their crops were plenty full already. Good chickens! Doing the job I pay them for!

That sounds like the one roo and one hen we have a motel room in the sun room that they spend every night in. She lays and egg most mornings before we put them out and then they go eat weeds and bugs all day long. They eat some starter grower at night and sometimes a handful of cracked corn. They are two of the best pets we've every had.

Granny You are in Charge. I'm taking meds and going to bed. I've done a lot of walking today in addition to getting a new run built with some xtra help today. My right knee is ailing me more than normal. I stopped the other day and had my wife drive because it hurt to use the gas pedal. Tired of going to the doc and not getting help with such.

Goodnight all Granny Land
