I don't want to sell my pullets, I'm just thinking out loud. Maybe I will sell some next year if there's any money in it. @CapricornFarm, what do you see laying hens going for? Nothing fancy, not Polish, just ... just laying hens.

One thing I've seen this year is that Tractor Supply doesn't sell out of all chicks the day they arrive this year.

It can fluctuate. My nearest good auction house my get $40 one week and $15 the next. It depends on breed and which buyers show up. Here I can post on the auctions page what I will bring to alert people ahead of time maximizing what I might get. I've heard prices so high they sounded like tall tales.

I looked at my pecan tree today. I could see the tips of the buds beginning to come out.

I looked into planting those when I first moved here but reaing on them I found Nothing else would grow around them so I changed my mind.

We had one in a past home. I love the black walnut. Messy getting to the fruit but so so good. We had pine trees growing beside it, literally beside it. They did fine.
