Morning all, dog grooming day! Its about time. Poor things look very neglected. Bandit woke me at 4 whining wanted out. He flew out the door and an hr. later wanted out again. I hope frosty behaves this time for the groomer. We are giving her some hemp today. I dont see it working but we bought them. might as well use it. Fawn will go nuts today alone. We have to crate her as it is. Im happy its getting done though. Im afraid I will hurt my finger more then it already hurts. They tug backwards on the leash not wanting to go in. Frosty got loose last time. Sent my wallet flying. I had to squat down to get her to come to me. If I try that today I will fall.

I use melatonin at times. I actually give it to Gracie every night before bed. Two of them. Really helps calm them. I have the hemp. I didn't see it helping either. My digs are used to grooming now, once a month. They don't need anything. I only up Grace's meds if she seems to be hurting more that day. The groomer always let's me know how she did during the handling. I give Coooer something during fireworks. Hope it went well for you today!

Changed my fish tank..just water and filtration change. Didn't take plants out. They look good. Have fish ready to pop some babies out anytime. I've got plants fir the babies to hide in. Hmm..we'll see how that works. Had her in a small birth tank, but she wasn't liking that too well. So..plants that can help little fry hide.

Have you ever tried using treats to lure them. My dogs will go in the gates of hell for a treat.

What kind of collars do you have them on? A regular flat nylon collar is ... a disaster waiting to happen, they can slip right out of those. At the very least, a choke collar (slip-chain) will keep them under control. Although I really hate those. Properly fitted, I prefer a prong collar, but most people don't know how to use those. How about a harness?

nylon is what we use.
Im wore out. Not real happy with the groomer. She quoted me different on the phone then she raised it when we got there.also said she either cut them every 2 months or get charged a lot more. double
