If my neighbor wasn't selling his place and relocating for his retirement I'd have another acre of something. Maybe pumpkins for chicken feed. I am going to plant enough pumpkin for pies and a few for the hens to carve this fall.

Is splenda too costly to bake with?

I don't think so for treats. Yes for some things and it doesn't do what sugar does from what I hear if yeast is involved.
