Time to feed the chickens for their supper. They have been on a grass and bug diet in the mornings and get a crop full of good feed in late afternoon. Went to town for starter grower and all they had was layer crumbles until tomorrow. Holiday delay. Once that's done I'm putting a trellis up for the eggplant and peppers. The look like the best ones I've ever grown. Never have I had eggplant jump up and bloom so fast. Fast as tomatoes. Jalapenos for the grill won't take much longer either. Have to watch ever day for bugs. Sevin is in the on deck circle waiting to be used. I'm prepared. Beetles love eggplant leaves and I love grilled eggplant burgers.
