Granny's gone and done it again

So the night Twist was on here Beth couldnt have the next puppy and they did end up at the vets They had to operate where the vet got 6 total with 2 doa. Beth also got spayed at this time. So 4 pups home with one being the runt . They tried supplement feeding for it but ended up losing her yesterday. So Beth and the remaining 3 pups are all doing well. they are all 3 liver and white. He wont be keeping one.
He went to the farm only to discover from 100+ laying hens he is now down to 11. They caught a coon yesterday. He still has his babies in their room. Supposedly the "idiot" will sit out there with a pea shooter at night.
Twist is ok but still very tired I think he could use our prayers.

We had a real gully-washer of a rain storm this afternoon (and it may be raining yet!)! Radar showed we were going to get hit pretty good between 6:30 and 7:30, and I had a gate open I wanted to close to keep my babies in. So about 4:30 I thought, I'll be busy later, I'll go close that gate now. Well! I stepped out into a DELUGE! And the baby chicks were standing out in the middle of it! So I hollered for GC to come help me, slipped on a raincoat and ran out to the rescue. But no, they weren't interested in cooping up. They wanted to huddle in a corner under the grape vine, and get soaked! So I grabbed two and handed them to my kid and grabbed two more. But as quick as she stuffed them into the brooder, back out they came! I finally told her to shut the door after them. We finally got them all in, but by then we were drenched. And she wrenched an ankle stepping in a hole. Soaked to the skin we were, even I in my so NOT waterproof raincoat. And in the midst of all this Sammy was no help. He wanted to be close to me so he was out in the middle of it, under my feet even though he hates storms, and a couple of times he ran into the brooder with the chicks for shelter. An hour later when DH came home he asked why Sammy was locked in the pen where the brooder is, barking his head off. Poor guy, he got left behind! 😵

I think he could use somebody out at the farm that cared what was happening. Where was Mike when all these chickens were disappearing?
