Granny do you have dandelions growing there? If so they might be as good as store bought. We don't have enough to fill a chicken's crop. Need to buy seed.

I had a neighbor that said she would teach me to make the dandelion jelly come the following spring. And when they started to bloom I showed up but she had passed away that winter and there was already another woman living in her place. Sad.

really! I never heard that. There is a lot of dock that grows here. Broad and narrow leaf. I never remember which one is best.

Non-stop since 9:30 and we live rural.

You probably have lambs quarters there too. I know nothing more than it is supposed to be a survival food and have heard that it is very nutritious and being a weed it shouldn't take any care. That also may be the one that has seed that can be made into a flour. I'd have to look that one up.
