Granny's gone and done it again

Sorry all but its been a WEEK of H3LL , From 6:30 am on Friday morning until Midnight Sunday about 4 hours of cat naps. Ended up taking Beth in for an emergency C-section. She still had 2 pups in her even tho the x-ray only showed 1. The vets managed to save/bring back to life one of them who pass Tuesday evening. Beth and the 3 living pups are doing well, Toes and Tails were done Weds afternoon. After I got into a bit of an argument with the Vet tech. NO I want a 1/3 of the tails left on. Don't care what the vet researches is standard for Springers as there is NO standard all the rules say is tail much be docked. Also these are field trials/breed not the show type.

C-section was 2300 and change all told and the toes and tails another 90+. Guess who's going in the hole on the litter. BUT, I will have Beth for a number of years now and pretty sure I have at least 3 out of the people who claimed they wanted pups. 2 males and a female. all liver and white.

A lot of vets list an emergency number BUT if your animal hasn't been seen by them before "tuff nuts ,try someone else" also had one SOB ask why I had bred Beth as she was to old. (this still bugs me)
Wishing you much better days now in the near future.

Chicken update. Down to a total of 11 hens BUT there are now at least to less coons in the world. AMAZING what happens when the live trap is actually set.

Still have 4 yaks to calve BUT Curly Sue's little one is doing great.
:hugs:hugs:hugs

And I am 68 now. It was easier when I was younger. Plus good vet care is hard to find. Most vets are anti breeder.
My niece the Vet had never heard of walking a dog in labor to help her whelp. Said it was "interesting" BUT that most vet's don't breed/raise pups and "real breeders" know a lot more about that, than most vets. I thought you would like this compliment/affirmation. I know it work for me twice.

Took the farm truck in for oil change and to check the tire as the low pressure sensor went off Sat night as I am taking Beth to the vet. I have a slice on the inner sidewall so I get to get 2 NEW tires. Thank you Stark County for being cheap a&&'s and using scoria instead of real gravel on the roads. They showed up mon or tues and the motel now has a working ice machine. the thru the wall exhaust fans I need/want got ordered earlier this week and should be here next week. Then I can such the excess heat/hot air from the air cooled ice maker into the Guest Laundry and back utility room which don't have heat. Currently stuck a fan in the window to exhaust some of the hot air.
