Getting rain now. I went out to gather eggs this afternoon and while I was in the hen house the heavens opened! I was soaked by the time I got back to the house, lol.

This is going to be a long hard month. Its only the 8th and we have made 2 trips to walmart already. Ouch! about $650. for those 2 trips. I wonder if there is a school that will teach me how to shop? I am so thankful for having this insurance restored. I havent received a letter yet saying we were approved but hopefully she wasnt blowing smoke up my tail pipe.

Well Granny I try to plan my meals and then just buy what I need. But ... that means cooking. Buying prepared and packaged food is the most expensive way to eat, unfortunately.

How many of you have an emergency generator or inverter? And if you do, what make/model do you have. What fuel do you use. Pros and cons? There are so many on the market, it takes forever to decide. I'm looking at Mid size, not whole house

My SIL bought a gas powered one and parked it on my back deck. It sat there for 2 yrs. and I was afraid it would go bad so I made him come get it. I didnt know anything about it except it came from harbor freight and had 2 places to plug something in.

I read in other threads that it's Sourland's birthday today. I believe he's 16 or so.
