Granny's gone and done it again

Did you lose some of your chickens?
We lost a lot this winter. I had inherited chickens from my friend who didn’t teach them to roost in coops. They roosted in trees. A coyote came by every night and ate one a night. Never found much more than a pile of feathers. Never let your chickens roost in trees.

Im so sorry. I hope you have gotten rid of the problem How did the coyote get them in the trees? Can they climb?

We have a generator for our dog shows. Bought it from Costco. It is pretty loud. I know the Honda has good one and it is quiet.

You do need to start them up every 6 months and maintain them.
I thought everyone except us must have a generator. It was a reminder when our power was off and we were told it would take several days to come back on. It got real hot right after the rain. We live in a small town in the coal regions, securely situated between 2 mountains so if trees are down, we truly are 'securely' stuck here!! So I'd rather have an inverter and extra fuel and keep using off an on so the fuel doesn't get bad sitting here and the inverter doesn't go bad from not using..
None of the elderly around here are prepared for a power outage so it tells me this area hasn't had a problem but this summer is a little different

We have one in the garage that hasn't been used much. In fact, hasn't been used for quite a while. Pretty sure it needs the old gas taken out.
I haven't gotten one yet but I'm looking at an inverter (take less fuel if you aren't using as much wattage) and one that you can gas or use propane (some pros and cons to either fuel) maybe get 2 that aren't as big. You can hook them together if you need more wattage. I'm still figuring out out. Takes a lot of 'figuring things out' if you are a home owner but need to count those pennies.
