Most varieties start picking at about 60 days. Time of year and location can make a difference due to the hours of daylight.

Yep. Look what I finally got. Imma gunna have me a half a tomater sandwich today. Saw a Beef Steak starting. Not seeing anything on my Better Boy. I have a crook neck squash, the one I showed you all starting when it was tiny, that will be ready to eat in a couple of days.

Really? That's interesting. With all the Scripture that talks of the last days..pollution and all..I'll go with that. The sun has already gone dark and the moon to blood. Pollution causing the affect. I blame..us. People have done it. Not on purpose, we just grew with this that and another knowledgeable something, that causes problems. Air problems, that mixes up the weather. I'm not sure how someone could cause mother nature to do something on purpose. Tends to have a mind of it's own. It's working right along with what the dirty air has given it.

Not sure. She drove it home last night and this morning all it does is click. The A/C has not been blowing very cold so she has an appt for it to go into the shop tomorrow, but the radio also quit the other day and this morning I can't get the trunk open! I don't know what's up. I hope it doesn't have a mouse in there, chewing wires.

Good friend is taking the JD garden tractor mower to his house where is has a little shop and a hoist that will make changing the belt so much easier. I'm catching a mean rooster of his that no one knows how to catch. Catching mean roosters is one of my specialties and has been for over 50 years. I do love out smarting them and making a complete fool out of them. I feel a nap coming on. To short of breath to pic peas. From the looks of the weather I can start picking at 6pm and get them all picked before dark. It will be about 4° cooler by 6pm.

Going to hand feed two pullet that got really injured from ambitious hormonal young cockerels. (they sit in my lap so their legs are not hurting them and eat out of a small bowl and drink from another) Once I'm satisfied that they have ate all they need for couple of hours I'm going to take a couple of hours of horizontal time for my needs. I've aged to the point I just cannot work in the heat like I did even 2 years ago. I think I nearly bought the farm a couple of days ago. Even with electrolyte cool water the old body can handle just so much.
