Granny's gone and done it again

Cool! Is this why I keep nitrile gloves in my hen house and under my kitchen sink, and pretty much don't handle raw food without them? 🤣 Or clean my coop or my cat boxes without them? Or my bathrooms, or .... Roses, did you hate finger painting when you were little? I did! I grew up in a big city but now live at least half a mile from my nearest neighbor (mostly) and couldn't be happier!

Yup! Lol.
And it's a good thing too. Kitty boxes can have a parasite that can infect humans, the projected worldwide statistics on its prevalence are kinda staggering. Although most people's symptoms are mild, if it makes it into the brain it can cause aggression and irrational behavior. In nature, it infects rats brains and drives them towards the smell of cat urine that they are normally afraid of. That helps the cats find and eat them, furthering the parasites life cycle in the digestive tract of the cat.

I can't say I ever tried finger painting?
But my mom likes to tell of this one time I was about 3. She had dressed me up to go out to dinner at a nice restaurant. I spilled a spoonful of food on my dress and promptly burst into tears wanting it to be perfect again.
I actually was a bit of a tomboy later on, always loved animals of course.
But when I was 15, mom and I ended up homeless for a while (long story), and I suppose the stress and uncertainty combined with the feeling of not being as clean and the need to control it all started my symptoms. As soon as we had a home again I started washing obsessively. The more people tried to stop me the worse it got (control). I'm a lot better about it now though. I can even touch dirty stuff with my bare hands, although I will not touch anything else while said hand is dirty, and my mind is always tracking contamination.
During Covid (I admit I found it relaxing, sorry everyone), it was really funny when the CDC person was giving news conferences telling people not to touch their faces, while touching her own face... and I'm here giggling like "I've practiced for this my whole life". LOL. See me ever touch my face without having just washed my hands!

Be leery of Humana without check every detail. Negative news about them and medicare for 2025. I don't remember what it was but I would touch it with a vaccinated pencil. None are perfect but I'm sticking with United Health Care until I find a reason to change.
Yeah I already know we don't want Humana. Don't remember exactly why, just that I've heard something bad about it.

Why don't you have Medicare Advantage???
Umm .. bc our agent didn't recommend it? Idk 🤷‍♀️

What Larry said. I believe the plan switching only takes effect in January, so you have to have the change in place before then or get stuck waiting another year.
My mom had this nice lady that was a go-between helping her change the medicare part. I think United put her in touch with that person. So it might be a two part process, OR I may be remembering it wrong.
You aren't switching..you're adding. :)

I changed from AARP to Aetna.
