well there are at least 3 ee roo's in this batch of chicks and one lorp roo. He was picking on beating up on his brooder mates so he got tossed in with the 9 surviving old hens. He tried the same crap on them and OMG they whomped the snot out of him. He was in a corner with his head buried and panting heavy. NOT loosing any pullets to a randy askhole roo which will be live tap bait if we need it.

One of my go-away cockerels has been "odd man out" in the cockerel pen from the beginning. Late to mature, I wasn't sure if he was actually a pullet until recently. In the last 3 or 4 days he's been escaping from the cockerel pen daily. Today he wanted back in at snack time, but once in two of the other 4 began to beat him mercilessly until he was huddled against the fence, head down, submissive. I took him out and put him in a crate. I can't subject him to that kind of bullying. He's being culled for his own good.
