We had a lot of oak trees godown. They had been stressed from the drought

The man I bought this place from said he bought this whole hill top , about 2 miles square, back in '72 and it didn't have a cedar tree on the whole hill top. Now it's just saturated with cedar and you can't keep rid of it. It's like a plague.

Do you know what type of cedars? We have those too. I can picture the short squatty fat ones.

Mostly the scraggly ones but some are of the pretty Christmas tree variety. I try to keep those trimmed to where they look decent.

We have a lot of these in the lower part of the mountains. Higher up the beautiful tall ones appear.
