What are they doing for him there, Granny? Have they got his A-fib stabilized? (Atrial fibrillation).

Atrial fibrillation (sometimes called AFib) is one of the most common types of cardiovascular disease. When someone has this condition, their heart beats irregularly, usually faster than it should. This irregular heartbeat causes an ineffective blood flow from the heart’s upper chambers to the lower ones.

AFib can lead to deadly complications, such as heart failure, blood clots, and cardiac arrest.

Fortunately, medical researchers understand more about this condition than ever before, and treatment options are becoming more effective.
I have AFib. I've had 2 heart ablations. Didn't work. Dr said he didn't dare go in again because it could cause more damage than good. I can't take the meds. I've had it since my 20's. I feel it every day if I pay attention. Some days are real bad.

Morning all, I am so very tired. Nurse said Tom was eating his breakfast but he hasn't slept all night. Still confused. They have a sitter for him but they sit outside the room because of the COVID. Not sure how helpful that will be. I do not want to go down there today.

Can you rest a little longer, go in late and make the visit short. Since he's confused a lot, he may not be getting much out of your visit anyway. If you see him for a short while, it will ease your conscience. At the same time, he may actually look Forward to your visit and is unable to react normally because of his dementia.

That's what I did when DH was medicated in the hospital and I got so tired after driving back an forth to the hospital for a week with no one else to help me out.
