We have to brace for 6 straight nights of well below freezing nights starting Monday. 23° is the ice age for us.

Will the banana tree be fine?

Howdy everyone.

We are looking at up to 13 inches of snow for us starting tomorrow afternoon so we have been busily hauling wood into the shop for the stove. Yesterday I ran up to the Amish General Store and picked up a few things in case our new road commissioner doesn't live up to his promise to keep us dug out this winter.

Would it have been easier to take the car?

If you figure it out, share your secret. I was just saying at dinner that I need to eat slower. A hold over from my single mom working days is that I eat very fast. There was never time for that sort of frivolous thing.

I can relate, I’m practicing slowing down with my eating, eating slowly also helps with being able to enjoy the food more.

Good night all! Nice to catch up a little with you all. My head is spinning. You have so much going on!!! My life seems quite simple all of a sudden. High blood pressure....maybe cancer....meh.

I had egg plant parm. for my meal today. It was frozen and I didn't realize family sized It was pretty good.

Will the banana tree be fine?

Yes it has a heat lamp in an enclosure. It will be fine as long as the power doesn't go of for to long at a time. It can be killed back to ground level and then comeback from the huge ball root it has. They multiply from the root ball like some lilies do. l started with just one tree and now have 3.

Yes they do. I have a jar of jalapeno jelly in my fridge door. Sweet cowboy candy too.
