Interesting. When I have a waffle (rare) I put the butter on first so it will melt.

The waffle was fresh out of the fridge. I reckoned within myself that the butter wouldn’t melt on a cold waffle.

Yeah but I needed the exercise and carrying two five pound bags of apples, 10 pounds of All Trumps Flour, a flat of yogurt, a 5 pound bag of oatmeal and various odds and ends home up and down hills helped me burn off the cookies I ate over Christmas.

Valerie, I am so sorry that you lost your son.
I eat very slowly too but I know why. I have dry mouth pretty bad. I don't have enough saliva to keep things moving properly. I eat about a fourth of what my DH eats, and it takes me two or three times as long to eat it. I'll still be working on it and he's off in the living room watching the news without me, and the kids are long gone, lol. Sometimes I think I want a second serving ... but it's all gone. I've learned to set aside a small portion for myself in case I might want "leftovers" for my lunch the next day.

Thanks for the sympathy. Sorry about the opposite eating issue for you. At least I stay at the table until DH finishes.

Sure do hope I can sleep tonight. Last night was one of the worst in months.
