Granny's gone and done it again

Good Morning Granny Land. Major setback today. It's 43° outside so hibernation gets my vote too. Sad that I must be an adult and make a trip out for provisions and some tooling. Been putting this adventure off to long. Must get some things before help comes to do some of the heavy lifting. Need 4 bags of ready mix and a few specialty tools and a couple of strong backs. It's time to restock the big back of chicken treats from the bakery discount store too. At least the sun is shining brightly so no danger of freezing if we take our turn and breaking down beside the road. Our van is a mobile greenhouse when the sun is shining like it is today.

Morning all, Nurse will be here soon. New housekeeper canceled already. Sick kids everywhere. Even Nancy told me she was exposed to the flu and didn't feel well. Why she brought that around Tom I will never know but I told her. Different nurse today. Regular nurse is also home with sick kids. I'm beginning to think the help they bring in isn't worth the risk to his health. I have chicken thawed for dumplings. I cant make them by myself. Tom used to help me. If Robert wont I will freeze the meat.

Must have the winter blues. Feel like I should be hibernating. Hubby found 2 more downed pine trees across the Mule paths. I saw a lot of downed trees on the way to pottery class today.
I'm guessing our city has some after that blizzard yesterday and last night. Lasted a long time. Lucky our power stayed on.
I haven't been through town yet today to see anything.
During an extra hard blast of wind that sounded pretty scary, all of a sudden I saw numerous birds flying in circles trying to figure out how to get back into their spot. Poor things.
