yes he is worse though. Its pretty bad and he is a huge guy. He hates his new job already. He is going to look around for anotherAre they both diabetic?
He's not feeling the best. Nurse said the holes were closed up on him but Im pretty sure I see it open. He's eating good. Too much sugar though. Vitals are all good. Mentally not the best. He wont tell it but he is depressed tooHow is Tom doing?
But that's the way your going to learn. Time might come you cant get him and it HAS to be fixed. It would be good to know you can.We had the mobile mechanic out last week and he found there was NO oil in our car. No leaks, it just came out the drain plug, so he was trying to blame the person who tightened it... but that was me. And I set the ratchet thingy to the right number and checked it 3 times because I'm OCD. I figured out it was the crush washer, I used just whatever the autoparts store sold cheap that time, and it didn't have much crush to it (thin).
So apparently I've been driving around for quite some time with no oil?? The dipstick is impossible to read
Mechanic said, "Good thing you didn't do any long trips" and he was surprised it hadn't seized up, but since it didn't he thinks there won't be any repercussions.
And I think it was God who encouraged me to shell out the $14 for a whole pack of good crush washers on Amzn before we had him come out. I really didn't want to pay that for some little aluminum discs. Apparently they are important though.
Will probably have the same guy out in a few weeks to do the brakes. It's nice having mobile mechanic service... cheaper, and I get to buy the parts so I know what's going on the car. If I wasn't so lazy I'd be doing everything myself, but just not really feeling the energy for all of that, plus he's really fast and doesn't have to study the manual and Youtube for days before each little task.
No. As an artist, in his retirement, his dream was to have a camper on it too do his drawing in nature. I felt the truck was too much for him but all his life his health has had a way of squashing his dreams. Sometimes you like to see a man get a taste of a dream fulfilled. I figured If it's new, a couple years down the road we will trade it in for something smaller. It looks like his poor health will win again. That's a good size truck. Y'all do a lot of hauling?
2024 ram 3500.
What a relief for you!! I hate driving duallys. It's not my pick of the litter! That sucks... Rams have always been better than FordsI hope it gets worked out or exchanged before your fella has any more panics.
One time when I was 17 I was working on a farm in Co and the owners sent me to town in their truck. She warned me several times to make sure the AWD was off before getting on the highway.
Which I did as soon as I got off the dirt road and on the blacktop.
Not far down the highway the truck isn't sounding right and I pull over and call the owners who had me use the Onstar thing.
So the first report the mechanic gives the owners had her red in the face, the AWD was on, and it's a dually so that was really bad apparently... I thought she was going to fire me on the spot.
The next morning they get another update that something was up with the switch, the AWD was failing to turn off regardless of the indicator, so it wasn't my fault and the warranty would cover it. Yay. That's all the truck repair commiseration I have to offer.
