So there is a rumor that our new priest wants to remodel the main part of church. Got it from a friend who is on the parish console. They actually had their first meeting in over a year. Supposed to be monthly.

Keep in mind he has already driven away most of the BIG donors and we aren't even making budget to keep the doors open.
Parish council? Doesn't the church board have to vote on such actions? And I would assume that if there is no money in the budget for a project like this, he can't very well go forward with it, can he? I mean unless he wants to fund it out of his own pocket ... 🤔

Catholic church operates a little differently. He can try a pledge drive and such.
