Granny's gone and done it again

DH gets claustrophobia from MRI. Government laws regulate it that you have to sign for the MRI before taking the medication. So we get there 15 minutes early so he can sign and then give the medicine time to work. Marijuana affects some people the same way . Maybe not everyone, but the medication doesn't affect everyone the same way. Interesting.

Granny, I JUST got a call from my dr's nurse. I have a diagnosis but I don't understand it and it may not help you much either. I asked the nurse a question or two, but got the expected answer: the dr will explain when you see her Thursday. Here is the dx: I have a "small insufficiency fracture of the knee." Dr Google indicates this may be related to bone weakness related to ostoporosis. She also told me I am to STAY OFF of it. Great.
It sounds very frustrating.

your gonna be ok Blue, Listen to the Dr. and keep off it for a while
Yes. I will, Granny. Thanks.

ask your Dr if they are good for you now.As long as your not prone to stones you should be ok
I am a little prone to stones. I'll ask.

See if your ins will rent you a scooter do you can stay off it for 4 months. You can zip all over in it
Thanks, H. There is nowhere to "zip" around here. I am 3 miles of dirt road away from the nearest paved road and another 30 miles from the nearest WM where I shop. I have a walker and a wheelchair for getting around the house and the walker does not keep me off that leg, so ... the wheelchair it is. Thanking God we have wide hallways.

that sounds really nice. See my last post. LOL
I can understand how you feel! Ungrateful freeloaders! We had families like that in a church my mother attended. They would have "dinner on the ground" where everyone was expected to bring enough to feed their family and share with others. Everyone had a special dish that everyone loved. There were a couple of families who would bring things like PBJ sandwiches but would eat what everyone else brought. Mama called them several colorful names that aren't polite to share here.

Insufficiency is where the bone lacks mineral like calcium and collapses. If it is small it just means it is a small area. You want to stay off of it so it does not get bigger. Also elevate you leg so it doesnt swell,

I crashed for half an hr. and feel like crap now.
I have had a busy day! New freezer was delivered before 9:30 so I spent the rest of the morning putting things away that had to be moved so they could get it in the front door. Had a few errands to run after lunch, then it was time for chores. My daughter and son in law arrived about 4:00 and brought supper so I didnt have to cook. I worked about an hour in the cabbage patch. I'm ready for bed!

Thank you, Iris. I wish I had known this back in February when it first happened! Although I do mostly stay off it and keep it elevated, I haven't stayed completely off it. I sure will now though!

It's hard. This is a benign form of torture.
