Turns out I do have Lyme disease again. I went to the NP today and had blood drawn. More test results pending. Not happy at all. It takes a long time to recover from this.

I'm so sorry Cap, Do you think it would be easier on both of you to make a move to the city? I would hate it myself. I thought those symptoms sounded familiar thats why I asked about the relapse .Turns out I do have Lyme disease again. I went to the NP today and had blood drawn. More test results pending. Shoulder surgery can be painful and wearing the sling is a royal pain but necessary. Full recovery is worth the pain. My MIL had the surgery but did not do as she was told. That left her with limited range of motion for the rest of her life. Good luck and I will be praying for you.Hi everyone. Sorry to having become such a stranger. Life...what a concept.
Got sent to an orthopedic surgeon by my PCP concerning my shoulder that I injured last June. Xray and MRI later and I'm scheduled for surgery on Monday. Seems as though I tore up my rotator cuff which is why I've been having so much pain and lost range of motion in it. Well, guess nobody can say I'm not a tough old bird.
They originally had it set up for the 13th then called today and said they had an cancellation and would I like to it done on Monday and I said yes, let's just get it over with. I'm not worried about the surgery, it's all done arthroscopically but the recovery is 6 weeks in a sling with absolutely no using the right arm for anything other than the light exercises they want you to do before they start you on Physical Therapy. They told me at 6 months I'll be out of the sling and doing pretty much what I want to do but it will take about a year for full healing.
Only thing that ticks me off is that my PCP could have sent me to the surgeon last October when I went to him about my shoulder and I would have been pretty much back to normal by now. Oh well, at least it's getting fixed. They did tell me that I had really done a good job coping with the pain and decreased ability to use it but they thought I was more like 60 than 71 so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I heal as quickly as I did when I was 60!

Makes sense to me.Did you know inflammation can be the culprit for cognitive impairment?
No, ticks are everywhere, not just in the woods. Hubby got 40 ticks off of himself today after cleaning up a wooded area and walking the dogs. The ticks never gave up, not even in winter. I don't wanted live all crowded up with other people in the city.morning all, Can I still say morning? Its 12 here. I woke at 6, came out here and got suckered right back to sleep til 11. Got Toms breakfast and its time for his lunch. LOL He went right back to sleep too. He is sleeping a lot.
