No, ticks are everywhere, not just in the woods. Hubby got 40 ticks off of himself today after cleaning up a wooded area and walking the dogs. The ticks never gave up, not even in winter. I don't wanted live all crowded up with other people in the city.

I cant blame you for not wanting to be in the city. I think I would rather pass on then to be sent there to live. I did think there wasn't as many ticks though.

@microchick, I had a lot of pain with mine for the whole year but it was my own stupid fault. They gave me a nerve block and when I came home from the hospital I jumped right up and started doing laundry, carrying baskets around, etc. DH, GC and MIL all urging me NOT to do that but I was obsessed, out of my mind and could not understand why they were telling me this. Felt it the next day for sure though. Maybe make yourself signs around the house saying NO! and NO! Anywhere you might try to do things you shouldn't, lol.

Turns out I do have Lyme disease again. I went to the NP today and had blood drawn. More test results pending. Not happy at all. It takes a long time to recover from this.

Aw, Cap! So sorry to hear this. Hope you heal quickly. If life was fair you'd develop an immunity to this s#!t. Life is not fair!

Yes it's a special kind of hell sitting here when there's things that need doing and GC is laid up and can't do them either. Kitchen is a disaster ... I know the poop trays have not been cleaned in 3 - 4 days at least. . Flowers blooming (irises, my fave!) and I can't get out to smell or pick...

Mine are blooming too and I said the same thing. Can your man child take a hardship leave and come help you out? If not get a hold of your regular Dr and ask her/him to send you a house keeper
