Granny's gone and done it again

Love your sense of humor @BigBlueHen53. You'll probably see the PA first if they do it for you like they did for me. Let's think positively though. The foot shall stay firmly attached to your leg. Find something else to bling out.

DH uploaded one of my 'shoulder' pics. I took one look at it and said Gawd I look like an exhausted old woman. So please have pity on me I usually don't look quite this bad. I've discovered recently how hard it is to do simple grooming things...like put on mascara, comb your hair and get dressed with your non-dominant hand. I think I suggested at some point to tear a hole in the top of a big garbage bag and pull it over my head. Anyway. 8 days post op. Here I be.

6 entry points. lots of bruising and my rt hooter is about twice the size of the left and no I am not having the left shoulder done so my boobies match.:he
You look good for what you have been through. Makeup is over rated in my opinion.

Good morning all! We just got home from our visit to the lab and to get chicken feed. I'm getting my first cup of coffee now because we could not have anything before the testing. Will get the results next week. Farms you are doing all you can for your DH. I think the doctor can write a script for morphine for home use. If DH is in a lot of pain when he gets home let the doctor know so he can address the issue.
They changed the packing and dressing again today . They gave him morphine, oxy and Clonazepam and sprayed on lidocaine, he did not scream in pain this time. They are trying to find the right cocktail to send him home on. (When they do the packing) This time they gave him the all medication before starting rather then aging more meds as the pain worsens. He had a team of 4 Drs, It really unnerved them when he had so much pain last time. I know they are trying, but he may need the wound vac machine for several months and morphine tends to wear off if he gets it to much. I'm not sure why the hesitancy with morphine, does it make people with dementia worse? They are very careful what they give him because of that

Your more then welcome Farms, I hope you can get it quickly.
The hospital was working on the preauthorization for the hospital bed today. The discharge date is looking like Friday, not definite but sounds like it. There is a painting of a huge white rose on the wall in his room. He asked a nurse to take it down cause 'that rose keeps looking at me'. They covered it up. Sometime I will ask him what i the significance was about the white rose that bothered him.

Farms, still praying for you and your DH. The cross you bear makes mine seem like a minor inconvenience. :hugs
I got a call from someone in Cape this morning. They all talk so fast! They have me scheduled to see a bone specialist next Thursday at 10:40 a.m., or at least the bone specialist's PA. It worries me a bit... but after all I do have two legs, surely I can get along with just one if need be, right? If I need a peg leg I'm getting a turquoise one. With rhinestones! :lau And a sandal, not a clunky tennis shoe! :tongue
Thank you for your prayers! It means allot to me! Prayers and faith to believe when not seeing!

You are allowed to feel exhausted right now, just don't stay exhausted.
By the way, seeing your sewn up shoulders makes one forget to look your face.
I hope it heals faster and that pain goes away. Glad you have a wonderful man at your side!
