Got the call from the post office while I was feeding the neighbors goat baby.

Unfortunately we have one doa (I think one of the australorps) one that’s super rough and I don’t have much hope but I’m trying and one that’s weak but hopefully will perk up. The two rough ones are in a bit of a surround of their own under the heat lamp (they were getting trampled by everyone else). I’ll check on them in 15-20. I’ll have to be sure to keep an eye out for pasty butt in all of them.

Had an awesome experience with shipping the ducks. The chicks though…

I'm not moving to fast this morning. The way my joints are aching the weather must be going to change. I took care of the baby chicks and did a little house work earlier, got a load in the washer and I'm going to experiment with cooking brocclli leaves and stems for lunch. I've got to be sure the guest room is ready for company arriving tomorrow. BBL

I’m sorry but nice!!!!! I am currently chopping up pickles for the sauce I’m making for the smash burgers tonight LOL it’s quite slow going but I’m almost done LOL then I’m going to chop up the onions next after I make the sauce. The onions don’t go in the sauce but get caramelized or at least sautéed and then go on top of the burger LOL but idk if I’m gonna chop the onion up now or later. I’m rather sick of chopping. LOL

We lost the two. I suspect my Cochins, since they had feathered feet.

The rest are perking up, eating and drinking.
