Today we have #1 DD here with us for a day... Got to fix a hole that a chick is escaping the Legbar coop from. The week old chicks think they are as big as parents and aunts and uncle.

Well of course they do! Put a mirror in with them so they can see the truth about themselves. Would be a shock to their little egos

Another day another dollar. Dogs are at home and I’m at work. When I get home it’ll be a full evening of choring. Need to revamp the brooder a little bit because ducks are messy things. (And clean. Oh so much cleaning)

Granny - total loss is 4 out of 17. not a great ratio.

Kidney stone. Not feeling it yet, thank goodness. But it made its presence known over the weekend. 3mm, PA says (CT scan this morning). I'm sure I'll feel it at some point.

I tried to pass an 8mm stone once. Dr. said it couldn't be done. I was in the hospital and snuck out to smoke. I got locked outside!! Someone finally came and let me back in and at that point I was in bad pain. They got me to my room and Dr came in and I signed a hand written note made by him saying I didn't /couldn't hold them responsible for anything should I leave my floor. Surgery the next morning said the stone had moved right next to the opening.
