Eh....3.5 weeks left in the pillow sling. Really not doing too bad. My frustration level is off the chart, though. I'm trying to do as much as I can with my limited range of motion in my right hand and forearm and my shoulder is letting me know that it isn't approving of that idea. The swelling is down though and the bruising under my arm is fading. Today I was able to gently rub my shoulder for the first time so I guess all in all I'm slowly doing better I just want to feel better NOW dang it!Hey Becky, how are you doing?
Blue, my friend before doing Prolia, read about the side effects. I took it for 2 years. my latest Dexiscan showed improvement but my doc wanted me to continue Prolia since I wasn't showing osteoporosis but I was showing bone thinning, I told him I always took his advice but in a word, NO I would not continue Prolia. The side effects were wrecking my quality of life.I give up, what is a stairway ceiling?
Cynthia, I'm sorry about the lupus, Honey. If it's not one darn thing, it's three ...
I just had to get a blood draw today to test my Vit D level, not a scan. He said I probably don't need to take supplemental calcium, I need Vit D to help my body utilize calcium. Interesting. I do need a bone scan for osteoporosis though, I haven't had one in a couple of years. And he said I may be able to come in for a shot of some kind once every six months. Darn I can't remember what shot but I'm sure it's for bones. Prolia? Does that sound right? I sure don't want to break a hip so if this will prevent that, sure, why not?
