Granny's gone and done it again

well, something weird just happened w/Tom that has me spooked. He talks in his sleep but we never understand what he is saying. I went to my room. I have a baby monitor in there and I hear him talking very plain. It sounded like he was on the phone giving someone directions. He was saying stuff like " Just open the door and walk out." I went to him and found him standing up, eyes wide open. I said what are you doing? He told me he had just invited a lot of people over. Then he said he was wet but he is going back to bed. I asked him Who was he talking to and he said it didn't matter, she will have enough room over there. I said go back to bed and he did including waving good night to me and that's a thing he does every night. I went back to my room where I could hear him moving around and I went back in there and he was snoring pretty loud.
Any ideas??

One of my sisters used to talk in her sleep - way back when - we would have a little chat with her then say good night - then she just rolled over and went back to sleep. But she did not get up during these episodes - they lasted for a while - then just stopped - no idea of the cause.
you think that's what this was, talking in his sleep?

Sounds like it.
Been thinking, and I also recall one of the other sisters telling me that, also a while back but not so far. Her eldest girl would sleepwalk sometimes. They would just ask her where she was going, tell her to go to the little room and back to bed, and she would. Interestingly enough both girls had these episodes during their teens and outgrew them. So maybe it is hormonal?
