Granny's gone and done it again

Try Spanish rice: 1 cup long grain white rice, small can of diced tomatoes or sauce, 2 cups water or broth, 1/2 teaspoon salt (or to taste)1 tsp minced garlic, 1/4 teaspoon cumin, pepper to taste ( I like to use a little cayenne). Brown the rice in a frying pan with a lid on medium heat. Add all other ingredients stir to combine. cover and cook 30 to 40 minutes stirring occasionally until the rice is tender and the liquid is absorbed. I also add basil, thyme or rosemary sometimes. You can add pork or chicken if desired. This freezes well. This doesn't have saffron which is what makes "yellow" rice yellow.
lol, from ND up here rice is for deserts about 90% of the time.

I think there is about a car trailer full of branches from my trimming and trying to remove the shade from my gardens. Also filled my dumpster with a bush (over 25 years old) it is now down to ground level. If it comes back fine if not fine.
