Granny's gone and done it again

What is ASD?
Autism spectrum disorder, which is the new label for all autism diagnoses from high functioning to non verbal and low functioning.
Is that better for them than benadryl?Do you need a script?
I am personally not a fan of trazadone for me nor my pups. I was walking into walls if I got up during the night it messed me up so bad. And my pup looked absolutely miserable so I could only imagine he felt similar as I did. Benadryl is more for slight anxiety. Not enough to need a heavy hitter med and easily accessible and hard to overdose. My preference is gabapentin. Some vets don’t prescribe it for off label use but I find it works amazingly well without giving them that “drugged out” stupor. And it’s a great arthritis med for my aging pups. Just my opinion:)
I'd already lost everything by then. Job, husband, home, horses ...
I’m so sorry :hugs I know I had some anger to work through when I finally received my adhd and autism diagnoses. I’m super glad you found a good med routine that works well for you 💜
Heading for my Neuro Optometrist soon. Pray he can fix these old eyes to better working order.
The last neuro asked if I had seen a neuro ophthalmologist. My eyes set off some of my episodes. I hope you get some answers!
Im hungry. It seems like Tom will eat something if it’s sweet. I've been trying to think of some sort of dinner that might appeal to him where he can get what his body needs to stay healthy.
Will he eat soup? If you start with a bone broth base that is filled with so much nutrients. Then you can add veggies and grains that he likes and then entice him with a fruit crisp or something similar for dessert. You can also add whole grain nutrients and natural sweeteners like maple syrup or honey to in the “crisp” part.

Then, if he only picks at certain parts of the meals he is getting something healthy-ish🤷🏼‍♀️

He can't take it as long as his health isn't settled. When it comes time to take it again, it likely won't be humira
I had to come off humira because it was bringing down my immune system. I did a complete elimination diet and figured out my triggers. That was extremely difficult and required a lot of time and cooking so definitely not doable for everyone.

But my son, whose Crohn’s is way worse than mine, uses probiotics to help manage his. Not all work the same, he had to find the right one. But with the added dessicated liver and vitamin D watching what he eats he seems to manage quite well. Maybe that can help you get him through until a new med can be started.

And bone broth will take care of a flare for us both. But it has to be non processed bone broth so you are still getting essential nutrients. Then I add rice back in or egg, similar to an egg drop soup. Works every single time.

I told DH to stay away from cakes and cookies and switch them out for ice cream, at least it has milk or toasted raisin bread with peanut butter. I don't expect him to stop eating sweets but maybe we can switch to some that have some nutrition in them. I'm the hospital they left him have a lot of ice cream. It was good for his 'morale' they explained to me. When the body is a little off balance people can crave sweets. So I decided I would rather he eat sweets then not eat at all. Sometimes we have to choose between the lesser of two evils

I do make veggie/ meat broth from scratch every day. Not necessarily bone broth broth.

Granny, has Robert ever seen trench art? It's what the soldiers did in the trenches to pass time. I have an incomplete trench art lamp made with a shell and bullets I'm getting ready to list. It will sell for the right price even in it's present condition

My Gracie was on Gabapentin. She did well on it too. She passed last year at age 13. I miss that little munchkin. 😢

So I thought I’d share here because my therapist says I don’t acknowledge the progress or good stuff enough. I know some of you will get this:)

Today I drove to and from hockey with no incident. It’s the longest I’ve driven since last November! Inside the rink was a little rocky but made I it through with my head phones and breaks.

I was able to pit the cherries my friend gave me and make hubs a mini pie. He is supposed to be home tomorrow but was asked to go straight to the next race. He hasn’t decided yet since it will put him gone for a month straight.

I am finally trying a new recipe, vinegar rolls, that I have been wanting to for a while. They are in the oven now. I will bring them to my aunt and uncle’s for dessert and a visit. I do not see them near enough since getting sick last summer.

My dog caught a squirrel this morning! We have a squirrel infestation in our yard this spring and I’ve declared war. They have eaten every single last one of our paw paws, plums, peaches, nectarines, cherries and raspberries leaving none for us. And now they are tearing through our chicken food 😡

Back to the story…He caught the squirrel but somehow Esther (chicken) got in the mix. He immediately let the squirrel go knowing the chicken is NOT supposed to be there. Esther ran off a little confused but perfectly fine. And Sonny is left looking for the squirrel. Wouldn’t you know Daisy (mastiff), Sonny and I had to watch the wet and shocked squirrel hobble along the top of the fence out of our reach. Poor pups. Sonny kills them, Daisy eats them and I relish in one less squirrel. Bummer for all of us.

But I did not get one single chore on my list done and we will have leftovers for dinner 🤷🏼‍♀️

Hope you all had a good day as well!

My eye is no longer inflamed! Still have dry eye. No tears. He suggested Omega 3! Nordic Naturals. 2,000 to 3,000 mg
I'm going to start with 1,000. Supposed to help bring back tears. Eat with food. Like my potassium.
I'm trying to take Nordic Naturals (fantastic brand, btw) fish oil for fibromyalgia inflammation, and I can't do it. The viscosity of the oil makes me want to vomit. Or are you using soft gels?
