Granny's gone and done it again

No one since last night?

Toms DD is off to Wally world for fixings for dinner. Tom is more clear headed this morning. Last night he didn't know who his DD and SIL were. That hurt. This morning SIL was the first person he asked for. He knew Robert and when I asked him who I was he grinned and said old lady. LOL

Granny, I'm glad he's more clear headed today and has a sense of humor.

I crashed last night about 10. I think I got a little to hot doing chores. We didn't get in the house until it was almost dark. Pa mowed the west side of the property while I used the weed whacker around the coops. I'm getting ready to go to a great grandson's birthday party so I will check in later. I'm glad Tom is doing better. You rest when you can.

Rufus, the pet rooster chick, is following me around like a puppy. He prefers for Pa and me to be in the same room. He likes the room with carpet and ceiling fan. Crazy chick tries to dust bath on the carpet, even though we fixed him a sandbox. The only drawback is he is to little for a diaper to fit so I'm constantly picking up little deposits, at least they are little! We put him in a kennel with shavings, food and water at night and when we have to be gone. The things that we do for our pets! At least he doesn't have fleas or ticks.

Fluffernutter was inside mostly also. She had a cage set up for when we could not watch her. She followed me all around and would call for me when I was not in sight. She would kick the mastiff off her dog bed and try to dustbathe on it. I loved that girl with all my heart. I am still missing her 💜

Have you tried a paper mask? That is what I used. You could get a child size if adult is still too big.

89 degrees here and windy as all get out so while it's hot, the wind makes it a bit tolerable if you stay in the shade where it can hit you.

Slept in a bit this morning, up at 7:45 instead of 6:45 the last few days. Did my exercises then went out and let the birds out/checked their water for them. I haven't been able to get shade tarps out and up for them yet. Will need DH's help for that as I don't see getting out of the 1-2 pound weight limit on my right arm in the near future.

My poor potted basil plants were wilting from the sun even though they were in partial shade so I dragged them in along with the plants that I bought yesterday. I'm going to try to plant those tonight when it's cooler.

@Granny Hatchet, I always told people who's loved ones were dealing with dementia that the disease was far kinder to them than it was to their family members watching the tragedy unfold in front of their eyes. Their loved one generally was living in their own little world while their loved ones and friends were watching them forget them and feeling the grief of loss as their existence ceased to be in their wives/husbands/parent's minds.

My dad didn't know me towards the end of his life. So yes, I do understand. :hugs
