Tom was stage 5 at 15 and now he is 29 I wonder what stage that is.
There is a ton of debris in the tube leading to the bag. I hope it doesn't get clogged up. He wasn't feeling good at all today

Is Curly very protective? Seems like because she was hand fed she wouldn't mind you checking the calf
what an F-ing day.
Drive out into the pasture to check on everyone and feed bread to some. Look in the leanto of the old barn in the tit. Something did NOT look right. Go in there and Hay is laying in the way back and in front there are 2 not 1 but 2 DEAD cows. NOT AMUSED.
Granny Hatchet was so far gone her face looked gray from all the maggots and right beside her was Comet. Both pg. NO idea why for sure. Granny had what looked to be a hole on one side so she may have been horned/gored. Comet possible calving issues.
that is the last of the original herd of 6. I do have 2 daughters from each on the place. OH and Cassie managed to lose a horn.
SO still one more calf for sure and possibly Old Gold as well.
Death count for the year, 2 bull calves, 2 unborn calves and 2 cows. I seriously considered coming home and just listing the entire herd for sale.
Instead I may be purchasing 4 cows with calves by their sides. Getting a GREAT deal, 2 of the calves are heifers. One of the cows is related to Old Gold and another is related to Polka.
