Granny's gone and done it again

Lol, this is so me! My Yvonne comes on Monday or Tuesday and vacuums the dog hair all up, and 5 minutes later it starts floating around again!
Sounds like home. Whole house is in laminate planking. I dust mop from one end to the other and turn around to find hair balls chasing me down. Cattle dogs aren't even in the living room and it's their hair. Like??????? I mean, they only shed twice a year, January-June and July-December......

It was in the low 90s here today. Went out long enough to give the chickens fresh water and let them out in the runs. I'll top off feed tonight once it cools down a bit.

Can't say I blame the dogs for shedding. If I were them I'd be shedding to. As it is I have to settle for a pair of shorts and a tank top.

Forgot to add, a big Thanks to whoever suggested using Benadryl for dealing with anxiety in dogs. Two of our male cattle dogs are the definition of 'hyper' especially Diesel who thinks he has to guard his bed, his buffalo horn chewies, his blanket, his food dish and his stuffed toy. He usually winds up jumping on his brother Varn if Varn walks too close to his bed and then it hits the fan so to speak. Once Varn's switch gets flipped, he goes full on and if sister Rocki gets too close she gets sucked into the fray. The only one who resists is Ben and they all know that you don't mess with Ben or you will wind up having stitches in your ear.

So I popped a Benadryl in Diesel and Varn's dinner the past few days and Success! I mean we have seriously tried everything on them to get them to chill out, especially Diesel and nothing worked but the Benadryl takes the edge off of him and he isn't as possessive of his belongings and not so anxious to go after his brother and sister. The vet was no help. Their suggestion was herbal chews which do work but admittedly not nearly as well as the Benadryl and not nearly as long.

Leave it to fellow dog owners to have the solution.
