Chickens put to bed, supper eaten, kitchen clean, time to sit, rest and thank the Lord for all the blessings He has given me. Hope you all had a good day with less pain or less stress.

My ortho doesn't think I need one any time soon. Maybe I misunderstood the bone specialist.@BigBlueHen53 I went through the weight challenge 4 years ago. It was a choice, either drop at least 25 pounds or go on statins. I couldn't tolerate the statins so I chose the weight loss. It was 'hades'. Doctor gave me 8 weeks but I did it. Then I lost another 5. I lost a bit more with the surgery pain being the most likely cause. I was up 8 ounces this morning to 117.6. And that is with me not being on my diet since the surgery.
You will do it, Blue. Now you know what is at stake and what you have to gain with the weight loss. You could eliminate the need for a knee replacement. Your determination and kind words honor me. Bless you my friend.
Or April Fool's?one should sneak that into "things" just before Halloween. like at a party.
How'd you end up with a humm'bird in your hand, Granny? (Story! Story!)FB memories from 11 years ago

A long while back My DH took the garbage to the road and fell. He was a real mess. He had blood all over his face where it hit the garbage bin and a broken wrist. He only has use of one arm because of a stroke many years ago. Anyway. The garbage men pulled up and dumped the bin while he was on the ground and never even spoke to him! He managed to get up and back to the house where I flipped out! I called the company and didn't talk nice to them.
But wait, that's only half the story. Next day I was standing on the back deck then I wasn't. I bounced when I hit the cement walkway. Landed on my hip and it didn't feel good. Didn't matter, Tom couldn't dress himself or even wipe so that's what I did. What I always do, took care of him. After he got his cast off I was still in pain. I got ex-rays and it showed a hair line fraction in my hip. It was healing and nothing to be done except rest. Yup, took care of a broken wrist with a broken hip.
Not sure why I told this story except your story reminded me of it. LOL
Monkey butt powder for chafing
You NEED to take care of yourself, Granny! Especially your legs. No pulse? No circulation... ultimately no legs. Then who's going to take care of Tom? If you can't quit smoking, cut back! This is what happens to care givers. They need to keep going so they put their own physical needs/problems secondary to their loved ones. Been there done that got the t-shirt. Sooner or later Granny you are going to have to put yourself at the top of the list. You matter, your life is important and you deserve to take care of yourself.![]()
I wore the poor thing out. It flew into the pole barn then couldnt figure out how to fly back out. It was panicked and flying into the window instead of it dipping down to go out the door. When it couldn't go any longer it stepped up into my hand. I took it thru the house to show every one then out the front door to the feeder. It drank for a long while, wiped its beak on my hand, looked at me for a min. than fly away. It was very profound for me.How'd you end up with a humm'bird in your hand, Granny? (Story! Story!)
Yes, there's something almost.. otherworldly about holding a humm'bird in your hand. They're so vulnerable yet so magnificent... it's happened to me twice and I would say profound is a good word.I wore the poor thing out.
