Granny's gone and done it again

On their days off? Do they get days off?
Maybe! And yeah, they must. Although my clinician said he was on call all week this week and also the other clinician I know was supposedly working last weekend, no clue if that included all week last week or just last weekend LOL but yeah. So they work a long time at a time. So they must sleep sometime? I doubt they get calls all night LOL but I just wondered if it was too late right now. Technically it’s supposed to be 24 hours but, again, when do they sleep!?

If they told you they were on call that means it's okay for you to call them if you need to. Don't worry about it. They have ways of taking care of themselves, that's not your concern. Or if you do call, maybe you can ask them.
Thanks!!!!!!! Good point. I think I will call before it gets any later. I’ve been putting it off for 3 hours. I have something important to tell him. It technically could probably wait until tomorrow but I have an appointment in the morning and want to ask a question before then.
Dctors do it all the time. They sleep when they can. Like parents, lol.
LOL makes sense!!!!!!!!!!!

shrek, on call doesn't mean 24 hrs a day. It could be for only 4 hrs sometimes.
In a job context, "on-call" means an employee is expected to be available to work, often on short notice, outside of their regular working hours. This typically involves responding to emergencies or unexpected demands for services. Being on-call doesn't necessarily mean the employee is actively working, but they must be ready to respond when needed
