Granny's gone and done it again

Wait ... roast beef has done you BOTH in with gall bladders? I'm surprised you can cook it for him.

I have no residual food hang-ups around mine. Oh wait. No, I lied, but this was after mine was out. I had a buildup of "sludge" in my common bile duct several years later, felt just like a GB attack. It was right after my MIL had served poke. I'd never eaten poke before. And believe me I never will again! Like you, I can't even stand the smell. Although it had nothing to do with my problem. It's just the association.

Guess I'm blessed as I had my gallbladder out and can eat anything I could before. I was afraid I would be limited after the surgery. Somethings I no longer like but that was caused as a drug complication. Wish I was closer to the coast and fresh fish markets most of the time. I know it would be better to drive down once a month than to live closer due to the cost of property ins down there due to hurricane threat. Haven't mowed in a couple of weeks. First the mower was down and once it was repaired it has rained every day until yesterday.

Bandit got out. I called and called for him with no response. So I came and got my shoes and headed out. I was calling but nada. I only made it about 30 steps and wondered how I was going to make it back. I turned to head back and there he was, right behind me. :lau
He stayed with me til I made it in the house. Now he is soaked and probably full of ticks and its time for the nurse. I had no choice but to bring him in my room to lock him up in his crate and for the first time ever he didn't jump on my bed first!

Goats! You need Goats! That's what I keep saying we need, that or a small flock of about 10 sheep.

Morning all...I think. Got to sleep around 1:30, up at 5:30 to get hubby up so he could get to the hospital for a sonogram. His CT scan didn't show anything but the doctor bet real money on a gall stone and he was right. So was I for that matter. Sono confirmed it. At least one about 1/4 th and inch big and in the bile duct. He stopped by the VA for an appointment and they informed him nothing opened till the 8th...totally unacceptable. They promised to call him if there was a cancelation. POS medical care. The nurse called and said, well maybe you have a GI Bug. No, you dumb cluck he has a gall stone. Geeze what is wrong with these people anyway. He set in the ER for 4 hours while they ran every test imaginable. Went back this morning for a test that confirmed he has a stone in his common bile duct and they are talking stomach bug.......

Sorry for the rant. It's going to be a long day....

Granny he actually did well on the CT. They didn't see anything which the Sonogram tech said she was baffled that they didn't see the stone sitting there. I guess it was clear as a bell. Oh well, it was late the doc was probably half asleep but sometimes I think we would do better if we stripped naked painted ourselves purple, stood on top of a hill and swung a dead chicken over our heads.
