Like what? My dogs need to stay home.

I think everyone in this town except me has one. I would just ask someone.

So picture this. Your car dies on the side of the road. Do you think some random stranger will stop so you can use their cell phone? It could happen but not likely. And even if some Good Samaritan did stop, it may take 10 minutes or more to get through to somebody once you do call them and give them all the info so they can find you. Will a Good Sam stand by and let you use their phone that long? Then AAA sends you texts periodically to give you updates. Your tech is on his way .... your tech will be there in about 30 minutes .... 10 minutes. .... your tech has arrived. They can't do that if you don't have a phone. I guess you could just tell them you're using a borrowed phone and they can't communicate with you.

Good points, Blue. About 7 or 8 years ago I went into town and forgot my cell phone. Yep, got a flat and couldn't get ahold of hubby.. No choice but to start walking the 7 and a half miles between town and home. On the way I did run into a street repair team and asked to borrow one of their phones. No problem...

Never did get in touch with DH. He was outside working and didn't have a phone with him either.

Point? They ain't worth diddle if you forget them, LOL.

And it took me almost 2 hours to get home on foot.

That's great. I'm just thinking that at 65 or 70 miles an hour people may not realize there is a person in a car needing help until they go sailing past, then it's too late for them to stop. Or they'll tell themselves not to worry, she probably already called someone and help is on the way ....

So I saw a local NP today about getting "on something" for my osteoporosis. After some discussion and asking lots of quesions I finally decided to go with the Prolia shot after all. The Fosamax is not a good choice for me because of my GERD. I had a brother who died in part due to esophagitis so I don't want to risk it. I also had a hip x-rayed while I was there. Remember I had my left shoulder treated for "frozen shoulder" several years ago? Well lately my left hip joint has been acting like it's trying to "freeze" too. I can no longer easily put my left ankle on my right knee without a lot of pain. So I guess we'll see what's up with that! Honestly I feel like the Tin Man a lot, lol! Somebody, oil me, i'm rusting!
