Granny's gone and done it again

Hi guys, thanks for all the prayers. They transferred DH to a hospital in Liberty Mo for the surgery as he has a stone lodged in the common bile duct and nobody has a bed and the equipment they need to reach out and touch it and pull it loose. Liberty is about 2.5 hours away from us outside KC so they transferred him tonight and I'm driving out in the morning early. Never done this before and I hate driving long distances away with a sore arm but like I told them, he takes priority so off to Liberty he goes.

They told me that there is a real nursing shortage since Covid. Many nurses just quit. I was hooking up Dave's monitors for them when they were coming and going doing tests and they were running marathons taking care of patients as the flood gates opened and they were very busy. Felt so sorry for them. Me I'm tired so I'm heading to bed so I can be up about 5 and on the road before 6.

Prayers appreciated.
Yeah, too many people just don’t want to work anymore, nursing is a good career.

@microchick: if everybody has a "Trial by Fire" at some point in their lives, this sure looks like yours, Girl. :hugs Think of that 2.5 mile drive as four half-hour drives, and take a break in between.

Im hungry. The boys went to the store today and I didn't get/ask for, not one thing. I took Nancy to lunch and I was so hungry for some "real" food I ordered chicken and steak tips. Couldn't eat either one of them and before I really got started eating she was done. I brought mine home where I ate mashed taters and green beans and Robert took care of the meat. That's all Ive had today. :idunno
You sound like me! I have drymouth so bad it makes me eat really slow. I've eaten half a cup of something for dinner, while another person fills their plate twice. Then I go back for "seconds" and there's not a morsel to be found.

You drive carefull
Translation: we love you and want only the best for you! With hugs snd "warm fuzzies" as Twist says.

Do you ever oxen-ate them or steer them.
Oxen-ate.
Now there's a word that's a WORD.

Still below 80° but that's not going to last much longer. When the dew dries I'll jump (figure of speech as it is a slow climb now) on the mowing machine and mow some more. At least that is the plan. Got a good case of the whole body trembles from having a nebulizer treatment for breakfast. Behave everyone.

Morning all, Im very sleepy. I mentioned that place Tom stayed at before to him this morning. He started saying no, he wouldn't go so I asked him to make a plan and went over every thing he couldn't do.
