Granny's gone and done it again

Sounds like patching up a hole in the knee of your blue jeans.lol
You may be asleep during the surgery. But it might be done while you are awake. If this is the case, you will get medicine to numb your leg and prevent pain.

The doctor will make a cut (incision) in your groin or upper thigh. The cut is made over the blocked part of the artery. The doctor will then make a cut in the artery and will take out the plaque.

Next, the doctor may sew a human-made patch over the cut in your artery. But sometimes a piece of blood vessel from another part of the leg is sewn over the cut. This will make the artery wider. It also helps keep it from getting narrow again. Then the doctor will close the cut in your skin. It will leave a scar. But the scar will fade with time.

They make it sound like they are making a quilt.

DH is in surgery. Lordy his surgeon is a kid and could be in a Tom Cruise movie. He said it would take about One and a half hours to do the surgery. It's one thing for them to be young but handsome too? And a surgeon on top of it? If he's not married he's beating the girls off with a club.

I'm tired. The drive here was tough. The car seat was making my back and neck ache and the traffic heading towards Kansas City was hysterical. Liberty is an outer satellite city of KC. I managed to get
6 hours of sleep but it feels like a drop in the bucket.

I made the decision before leaving home this morning to spend the night here. Doctor said he could come home tomorrow. They want to pump more antibiotics into him tonight. So I put down big bowls of food for dogs and cats a!ong with extra water. Laid down all the news papers I could find and let the birds out in their runs as it's going to be stormy and hot. With the run double hot wired nothing can get in there unless it's a black bear and then it has to deal with 20 or more bantam roosters with bad attitudes that will be more than glad to make it regret the error of its ways. I told DH that I'd rather do mop and bucket damage control when we get home than make that drive in to Liberty again tomorrow by myself at the crack of dawn. I swear I'm sitting here in the surgical waiting area with my tablet in my lap and dozed off for a second. I typed 2 weird words.....

Granny I know how you feel about sleep deprivation. I think on top of driving over miles in 2 days, I've only had 2 meals. Just wolfed down a subway sandwich and chocolate chip cookie. They were delicious!

I want to tell you all how much the prayers and support have meant to me and my husband. You are all the best.:hugs:love
