Out of 22 eggs I think we got 9 live ones and 7 were cockerels. We still have the 2 girls, we named them Dingbat and Dipstick.

Granny I think you were right about my chicks being so small. We'd been leaving their water and feed in the brooder, but Mama hens and chicks don't hang out there, they are basically ranging, eating mostly bugs and greens. Yesterday we put their water and feed under the redbud tree where they mostly hang out and they were all over it! MamaHen can guard it there so the Big Girls can't steal it.

Hi Blue, sorry I missed you. I slept ok for a change. Didn't get in the bed til after 1am but don't remember a thing til Robert woke me at 9. I had told him I don't like sleeping late because Tom needs stuff done. I'm glad he woke me.
Your chicks will quickly get that growing thing going on.
